¿Anexión de Cuba? Un neoconservador estadounidense aboga por convertir la isla en parte de EEUU
One reason I'm for DC statehood: The growth in size of the republic--and our distinctive manner of growth, admitting states with equal status--has always been a sign of our vigor. 60 years at 50 states is enough. Time for DC, Puerto Rico, Cuba (as soon as it's free), 1 or 2 more?— Bill Kristol (@BillKristol) March 22, 2021

We want DC and our territories to have the same freedoms and liberties the rest of the country has. Bill Kristol turns it into a "sun never sets on the American Empire" scenario!
And again I ask...Cuba? Colonizer, take a seat! https://t.co/csd7bNiHlA
You mean like Cuba is for sale and then on sale-like free? How about we start with DC and ask all of our territories if they want to be states. And we stop the imperialism of Imminent Domain in the 21st century...just a non colonial thought— JustKeepSwimming (@SwearingenCindi) March 23, 2021
At least @BillKristol is speaking honestly about US foreign policy here, especially when he brings up Cuba. It’s not driven by desire to bring about freedom or democracy: it’s about expanding the empire’s reach. Does he wish to convert every independent nation into a US colony? https://t.co/6WlzF7M0m9— Anya Parampil (@anyaparampil) March 22, 2021
Why in the name of everything that is unholy would Cuba become part of the United States? The overwhelming majority of Cubans would be torn between laughing uproariously at the idea and being furious an American is even suggesting it.— Frida Ghitis (@FridaGhitis) March 22, 2021
Cuba is currently free, Bill. They have better healthcare, better literacy rates, and zero rough sleepers. Why on earth would they want to join the US?— 𝐃𝐄𝐕𝐎𝐍 (@Devon_OnEarth) March 22, 2021

A two month war outta do it.
Cuba? Why not Sweden? Or any other sovereign nation?— Steve Hofstetter (@SteveHofstetter) March 22, 2021
I agree...America needs to keep growing. Cuba would be good addition, if they so chose. Various scenarios also play out with Brexit, if the UK breaks up, England and/or Wales may join the United States. With changing demographics, in several decades, Japan may consider statehood.— Stephen Chase (@chaser1066) March 22, 2021
How about Israel become a state first given the amount of public funding we give them and influence they already hold over our elections? Make Palestinians US citizens who can travel freely.— Dan Lowe (@alsodanlowe) March 22, 2021
Oh right Americans can't travel freely.
Almost had it right there. But Cuba? Really? No evidence they actually want that. If you want more states, try colonies on the Moon and Mars next century or so. That’s something we should begin (very) long term planning for.— James Ra (@JamesRaxz) March 23, 2021
